The principal activity of the society ALTER ELETTRONICA s.r.l. it is that to study, to project and to construct electronic equipments for the industrial automation and the "motion control" particularly to drive the various types of electric motors.

All the activities (administration - sale - design - production - technical support - store) they are located in the one and only centre of CASALE MONFERRATO (Italy).

The experience acquired in the field and years of study, of engineering, of production, of application and of technical support, they make of ALTER an extremely reliable and certain partner able to comply with the request of the customer.

The products are constantly kept up-to-date, utilizing every technical and technological innovations to improve:

By request of the customer, ALTER also construct custom or semi custom equipments adapting the existing products or studying new products.

To give the best service to the customer ALTER has done two important choices:

1) To take advantage of the INTERNET resources:

• From our site web (download section) it is possible to download and to print (without any formality), the "Acrobat" files regarding the documentations and the instruction books of all the products ALTER that are in active production and part of those that are not produced for a long time (in Italian and English language).

• By the registration at the newsletter it is possible to receive information about the products at the right time.

• By the chat it is possible to converse in real time with the technical, sales and accounting departments.

2) To stipulate agreements with qualified express messengers to reduce the haulage.

• The agreements with the express messengers have let to reduce to the least one both the haulage and the carry time from the store "ALTER" to the customer, wherever is placed.

• This has made the being of centers and decentralized stores superfluous both in Italy and in the foreign countries.

• The working time, not tightly limited to the ordinary office time, it allows at the most the customers to take advantage of the various services offered by "ALTER" and particularly of the 'on line' technical assistance (free of charge).

The usable languages for the mail (Fax or EMail) and the phone are:

ALTER well keep in mind the rubs met by the maintenance engineer when he has to run again a failed machine in the smaller possible time, and by who attends to the RETROFIT or to the REVAMPING.

To all these customers "ALTER" is able to:

- To supply converters easy to install and suitable to replace those of others constructors, not repairable or with excessive costs and times of reparation:

• The substitution doesn't involve problems because the size of the converters ALTER is small, the interfacing is easy and the performances furnished by the machine are unchanged and sometimes they are improved.

• The converters ALTER allow to use the same components accessories (three-phase and d.c. inductors, fuses, power transformers, and so on) used by the old converter and already mounted in the electric closet.

• It is possible to utilize the existing wiring between converter and motor again, if they are in good condition, otherwise it is possible to utilize cables that are on sale.

• Therefore it is possible to reduce both the time of the machine lock and the costs of the replacement of the existing cables with those prepared and imposed from some builders of converters, that normally result expensive and of difficulty laying.

• The converters ALTER drive both the d.c. motors (permanent magnet and wire wound field with constant torque / constant power operation characteristic) and all the brushless motors (all the builders - new and old types).

• The draft of the connections between the brushless motor and the converter, limitedly to the motors that have been used already, they are included in the instruction books of the converters for brushless motors.

• Otherwise ALTER provides to examine the brushless motor in its laboratories and to establish the right connections (free of charge for the customer). The draft of the connections are constantly updated and included in the instruction book.

• In our site web is available always the last edition of all the instruction books.

- To establish the operating data (if they are unknown) or to verify, in the ALTER laboratories, the state and the good operation of the motors that is driven by the converters ALTER (free of charge for the customer).

ALTER put at customer disposal the technical department to supply by phone, fax, email an advice service aimed to find the best solutions and the most suitable products to satisfy the requirements of the customer.

Particularly the following services are provided:

• Choice of the ALTER converter type and of the motor able to satisfy the necessities of the customer

• Sizing of the motor and of the converter ALTER to achieve the required torque and speed.

• Choice of the ALTER converter to drive an existing motor.

• Choice of the ALTER converter to replace an existing converter.

• Choice of the motor to replace an existing motor.

• To establish the type and/or the operating data of the motors without plate.

• Application advice.

• Definition of the interlocking required by the application.

THE LEAD TIME

ALTER offers a particularly swift service (free of charge for the customer) to supply:

• Spare parts of all the products ALTER (even if they are not produced for a long time).

• Limited quantities of products and accessories that are in active production.

The goods can immediately to be collected or delivered daily to express messengers that are able to deliver the goods to the customer in the following times:

• ITALY: 1 day.

• EUROPE: from 1 to 6 days (depending of the rate applied for the transport).

• WORLD-WIDE: from 2 to 8 days (depending of the rate applied for the transport).

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

The after-sale and repair service it is at one's disposal for:

• Search of the failures in the products ALTER or in the installation

• To do some repairs of the products ALTER.

• To give information about the use and the running of the products ALTER.

• To define the times and the ways of the reparation of the products ALTER (either at the ALTER laboratories or at the customer).

• To hold some technical training for the customer team.

THE REPAIRS

Also for the repairs ALTER offers a particularly swift service thanks to the availability of the spare parts of all the products ALTER. (even if they are not produced for a long time)

The time of restitution of a product doesn't normally exceed 4 man-hours. (exceptional cases excepted).

To transport the goods an express messenger can be utilized, in this case the total time is 3 workdays in ITALY (including: round trip, repair and return trip). In EUROPE and WORLD-WIDE the time is depending of the messenger.

By ALTER authorization it is possible to immediately repair some product (normally carried by the customer at ALTER laboratories) reducing so to the least the failure in service of the machine.
