12IRD digital servo drive with 12 thyristors for bidirectional d.c. motors in 4 quadrants.
The 12IRD digital servo drive (part of the D SERIES) is designed to power and control permanent magnet or wound-field DC motors with maximum precision. This bidirectional servo converter is equipped with a robust 12-thyristor armature bridge, allowing smooth and reliable operation in all 4 quadrants.
For armature currents up to 500 A the thyristor bridge is housed inside the enclosure (an external bridge is used for higher currents), while the field bridge is always internal. The architecture is designed with the maintenance engineer in mind: all regulation circuits are fully digital and isolated from the power section. The front panel houses the I/O connectors (solid-state optoisolated digital and differential analogue), LCD display, programming buttons and USB port, providing full access for wiring, diagnostics and rapid tuning.
To minimise plant downtime during retrofits, all converters in the series include a removable memory card that stores the parameters, allowing instant transfer to a replacement drive.
Versioni
The 12IRD model is part of the D SERIES drive family. If your application requires different operating logic, explore the other versions of the D Series:
- Model 6ID: 2-quadrant unidirectional drive with a 6-thyristor bridge.
- Model 6AXD: 4-quadrant bidirectional with 6-thyristor bridge, specifically designed for axis control and mechanical backlash cancellation.
