PSR3-000 – Regenerative AC/DC Unit for DC Bus

The PSR3-000 unit provides a stabilized DC Bus at 650 Vdc to power ALTER PWM3D series servo drives or third-party servo drives compatible with the output voltage and current parameters. This flexibility makes it ideal for retrofit and revamping projects of existing industrial machines, without having to replace the entire drive architecture.

Regenerative energy recovery during braking

During braking of three-phase motors, the generated energy is normally dissipated as heat in the braking resistors — with real energy costs and component wear. The PSR3-000 eliminates this waste by reinjecting the recovered energy directly into the mains, reducing consumption and decreasing the thermal load in the electrical cabinet.

Quality of power exchanged with the mains

The intelligent conversion system based on IGBT technology guarantees:

• Exchange of active power only, with power factor cosφ≈1
• Sinusoidal line currents, compliant with mains quality requirements
• Dynamic management of DC Bus voltage in multi-drive systems
