In the world of industrial automation, closed proprietary protocols are the biggest obstacle to retrofitting. The 13/013 transducer converter solves a problem for which there are virtually no alternatives on the market: it reads the signal of proprietary Fanuc or Mitsubishi serial encoders — often built into high-performance motors that are difficult to replace without also changing the drive and the control — and translates it into the universal 5 V TTL line driver language. This means you can remove a failed Fanuc or Mitsubishi axis drive, keep the original motor in the machine (saving days of production downtime for mechanical removal and re-interfacing) and drive it reliably with a standard servo converter, such as our PWM3D series; it is the definitive way out of vendor lock-in.

- 1 x 5V TTL incremental encoder output with line driver and simulated Hall effect sectors, with user-configurable pulses per revolution

Special Functions:
- Autoconfiguration: the module configures itself automatically by reading the specifications stored on the encoder
- Zero Without Motion (ZWM): This function allows the ‘machine zero’ to be performed virtually, without actually moving the mechanical axis, speeding up recovery operations following a power cut or in emergency conditions
- Encoder Phasing: Allows the phase shift between the encoder and the motor (electrical angle) to be adjusted directly via the software or dedicated digital inputs
